Mini Alpakka ist ein besonders weiches und feines Alpakagarn, das etwa dreimal wärmer ist als herkömmliche Wolle. Es bietet die besten Isoliereigenschaften der Sandnes Garn Familie. Die hohle Faser sorgt für eine angenehme Temperaturregulierung: Sie speichert Wärme bei Kälte und bleibt angenehm kühl bei Wärme. Zudem ist Alpaka von Natur aus lanolinfrei.
Das Garn besteht aus hochwertigem Superfine-Alpaka mit einer Faserdicke von 25–26 Mikron. Diese besonders feine Qualität zählt zu den weichsten weltweit, die für Handstrickgarne verwendet werden.
Sowohl Alpakka als auch Mini Alpakka bestehen aus derselben edlen Faser, unterscheiden sich jedoch in der Garnstärke: Mini Alpakka ist 3-fädig gezwirnt, während Alpakka 4-fädig verarbeitet wird.
